Batman: Soul of the Dragon digital and 4K/Blu-ray details are finally available, as well as the special features that will come with the release. The 1970’s retro martial arts adventure will be releasing January 12th on digital and two weeks later on 4K/Blu-ray, Among with the special features included are a featurette exploring the popularization of martial arts in the U.S. in the 1970’s (thanks Bruce Lee!) and two martial arts focused episodes of the iconic Batman: The Animated Series, “Day of the Samurai” and “Night of the Nina.”
While the two BTAS episodes aren’t connected to Soul of the Dragon (as far as I’m aware), it’s a great connection between Batman, Bruce Timm and the influence martial arts has always had on the Batman universe, and a nice extra value to have two full animated episodes added to this film. I’ll definitely be getting the 4K/Blu-ray combo pack, assuming I can hold out those extra two weeks.
Check out the trailer below, as well as all the details for the digital and hard copy releases!
