Avengers: Doomsday is just about 4 months away, and the best way to prepare for the epic blockbuster film is to relive the last Avengers film, Avengers: Endgame. On September 25th, Marvel fans will have chance to reassemble for Avengers Endgame: Encore, a special rerelease of the record-breaking conclusion to the Infinity Saga.
For most fans, just the opportunity to watch Endgame on the big screen would be reason enough to rush to get tickets. However, Marvel Studios is adding a special treat, with an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday. What’s interesting is that there will be an exclusive look at Doomsday for all Encore screenings, and those who watch on IMAX or Infinity Vision-certified screens will get an additional sneak peek. What’s unclear is whether that means there are two separate sneak peeks or whether it’s one longer one. Hopefully, more details will be made available soon.
Previously, there was some speculation that Endgame: Encore would have about 7 minutes of additional footage. However, official information seems to avoid confirming those details. The bigger question now is whether the footage will be attached to the end of the film via the mid and post-credits stingers that Marvel made famous, or whether it will somehow be integrated into the main Endgame film.
Given that Marvel is already promoting two sneak peeks for premium format viewers, it seems like a reasonable bet that one will be a mid-credits stinger and the other will be a post-credits one. Those scenes will certainly be the biggest talk amongst fans upon release.

Avengers: Endgame in IMAX and Infinity Vision
Avengers: Endgame was only the 2nd Hollywood film shot entirely with IMAX cameras, so the chance to see it again on IMAX screens is one that is hard to miss. Unfortunately, Avengers: Doomsday will not initially release on IMAX (due to the release of Dune 3 on the same weekend), which raises the dilemma of whether this is the time to watch Endgame in an Infinity Vision format. Reminder that Infinity Vision is a new certification of premium format screens that Disney introduced as a way of affirming the quality of some premium screens, and helping to off-set the fact that Doomsday will not immediately be released on IMAX.
Tickets for Avengers Endgame: Encore are on sale now (I’ve already secured mine…in IMAX) and are sure to sell out quickly as the screenings are surprisingly limited. To celebrate the release of advance ticket sales, Marvel released a stirring new trailer and posters for the various premium format screens.
