We’re getting closer to Avengers: Doomsday, and Funko has revealed a new collection of Doomsday products, bringing together characters from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe ahead of the highly anticipated film.
The new collection includes Funko POP! collectibles for Doctor Doom, as well as several Avengers, X-Men and members of the Fantastic Four. The characters that are part of this first wave include Thor, Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Reed Richards, Shang-Chi (with the Ten Rings!), Namor, Steve Rogers, Magneto, Cyclops, Gambit, Nightcrawler and Beast.
No surprise, there are a few versions of Doctor Doom, including a Funko store exclusive Lord Doom figure and a die cast Doctor Doom collectible with an all metal deco chase.
We’re sure to see even more variations of Doom going forward as he’s clearly the singularly most marketable character in the film. The Lord Doom figure it interesting because it looks to be what he might wear when acting as the head of state of Latveria. Fans will recall that back in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, there were several scenes with Latveria’s place card, but no Doom present. Presumably, had he attended those meetings, he would have looked like this Funko.
Avengers: Doomsday Funko Collection Includes POP! and Bitty POP! Figures
In addition to the standard POP! figures, there’s also an epic 10″ jumbo Sentinel that will look great in any collection, as well as an extensive selection of miniature Bitty POP! products. The Bitty POP! collection includes multipacks like Doctor Doom and Mister Fantastic and Magneto and Professor X, a Fantastic Four Jump Jet (with tiny Thing), Doomstadt Tower (with tiny Lord Doom), Avengers Tower (with tiny Red Guardian) and mystery figures.
The Bitty POPs are really fun and provide some small diorama opportunities. I’m definitely getting myself a Doomstadt Tower and Avengers Tower.
Several retailer exclusives will also be available, including Doctor Doom with Franklin at Target, Nightcrawler at Entertainment Earth and Beast at Walmart.
Finally, if you purchase a Doomsday bundle directly from Funko.com, you will also get an exclusive mystery deco variant POP! There are no details on even which character this exclusive deco is (though I assume it will be Doom), but this one will definitely be a collector’s item since the bundle costs $89.94 and comes with Magneto, Thor, Reed, Cyclops, Doom and Yelena.
