‘VisionQuest’ Trailer Reunites Vision and Ultron to Complete the ‘WandaVision’ Trilogy

TM Trailer2 Still 4

Marvel Studios released a new VisionQuest trailer highlighting the return of Paul Bettany’s Vision following the events of WandaVision. This version of Vision has a new body but the same memories and is struggling to come to terms with that discrepancy. The series will feature other AI characters like FRIDAY, EDITH, JARVIS and, of course, Ultron, played by James Spader.

The potential psychological warfare that we can expect to see in the show, especially between Bettany’s Vision and Spader’s Ultron, is fascinating. The trailer itself shows a surprising amount of action as well. The opening scene of the trailer, where Vision says, “I am here for the trap,” is a great line.

The biggest question looming thus far is the nature of Thomas Shepherd, who is seen in the trailer referencing memories of being Vision and Wanda Maximoff’s son. Considering the story of another mysterious young teen in Agatha All Along, it seems clear where this is going and what it will set up next.

VisionQuest is being clearly marketed as the end of the TV trilogy that started with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. Both shows are some of the best superhero TV we’ve seen and one can only hope this latest series does its predecessors justice. The fact that VisionQuest was created by Terry Matalas, best known for the 12 Monkeys series and Star Trek: PIcard, should give fans plenty of reason for optimism.
