Experience ‘Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’ in Concert Live at the Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl is hosting a special Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in concert event, live on September 1st and 2nd. The complete film will be screening, with acclaimed conductor David Newman and the Los Angeles Philharmonic performing John Williams’ legendary score live to the picture.

Newman has scored over 110 films, ranging from War of the RosesMatildaBowfinger, Galaxy Quest, Ice Age and Anastasia, for which he earned an Academy Award nomination.

Williams’ iconic music will forever be linked with the Galaxy Far Far Away, and there’s really no better way to enjoy it than to experience it live in concert. It’s also a very rare opportunity to watch one of the Original Trilogy Star Wars films on the big screen. I haven’t seen Return of the Jedi on a big screen since the first re-releases back in the late 1990s and it’s one of my favorite films.

I’ve attended Star Wars in Concert events in the past, and last year attended a special screening of Black Panther in concert. These concert events are an incredible way to re-experience your favorite films. There’s something special about having a live orchestra perform the film scores, especially one that is as accomplished as the Los Angeles Philharmonic. On top of that, the Hollywood Bowl is one of the very best venues to experience concerts. The acoustics are exceptional and there isn’t a bad seat in the bowl. With these Star Wars concerts, you can bet that cosplayers, lightsabers and other hardcore fans will be in attendance, which always heightens the experience.

Right now, they’re doing a special 20% off discount for the September 1st show using the code ATTHEBOWL.
