Get to Know the Cast of Marvel Studios’ ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ in New Featurette

Fresh off the release of new character posters for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Marvel Studios released a new featurette starring Simu Liu, Awkwafina and Meng’er Zhang. In the featurette, the three stars of the film play a humorous game of “Most likely to” that shows the playful dynamic between the cast members.

If you follow Simu Liu or Meng’er Zhang on Instagram (and why wouldn’t you?) then you know that this featurette is quite authentic to the way several cast members enjoy each other. It’s been fun to see how those involved in the film spend their free time together regularly, and Marvel’s marketing is smart to tap into that naturally existing chemistry. I hope we get to see more of these types of relatable marketing videos in the weeks to come.

Most Likely To Featurette for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

The questions in the featurette aren’t particularly revealing, but it’s more an amusing look into how these stars are really just like you and me. Among the questions asked included “Who is most likely to…” get into a fight, joke their way out of a confrontation and survive a zombie apocalypse?

The questions were clearly designed to give each of the participating stars a chance to shine, but the actual answers were a bit surprising. For example, the first question about who is most likely to get into a fight, was quickly answered by Meng’er Zhang, who plays Shang-Chi’s sister Xialing. Liu and Awkwafina laughed at Zhang’s answer, while Zhang almost apologetically admitted that she’s indeed likely to get into a fight.

Meng’er Zhang is Most Likely to Get Into a Fight

As to the question of who is most likely to avoid a confrontation with a joke, Awkwafina surprised everyone by naming Simu Liu as the answer. Even Liu seemed hilariously caught off guard as Awkwafina explained her reasoning.

The trio seemed to have a good time with this featurette, and it would be great to have more of the cast involved with this type of marketing. Here’s hoping that Tony Leung and Michelle Yeoh in particular will be part of some kind of behind-the-scenes featurette in the near future.

Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings premieres only in theaters September 3rd!
