We’re three months away from Christmas and Amazon MGM Studios released the second trailer and new poster for the upcoming action adventure Christmas film, Red One.
The winter season is usually full of feel-good holiday films, mixed with a strong slate of blockbuster action films (both Avatar and Star Wars franchises have enjoyed very successful winter releases). Amazon MGM Studios decided to mash the two up with Red One.
Packed with a superstar cast, Red One puts a highly amusing twist on holiday films as Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans team up to save Christmas. J.K. Simmons plays Father Christmas himself, Santa Clause, who has been kidnapped by nefarious forces.
Lucy Liu and Johnson play the North Pole’s trusted security leaders, who need the aid of the world’s best tracker, played by Evans.
The buddy cop pairing of Johnson and Evans, who both have accomplished superhero resumes as well as respectable comedic chops, is inspired.
I love Christmas films and action films, and Red One is speaking to me. Check out the new trailer and poster.
