Disney+ and Plant Kween Celebrate Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! To celebrate, Disney+ teamed up with Brooklyn-based activist and plant lover, Plant Kween, to create some custom images inspired by some of Disney’s most beloved films like The Coco, Jungle Book, The Aristocats, and Aladdin.

Plant Kween also provided some great care tips for each of the plants. I don’t have a green thumb at all, but the Monstera plant inspired by The Coco is so much fun!

Check out all the great images and details below!

Disney+ and Plant Kween Celebrate Earth Day!

Find out which plants remind Plant Kween of our fave Disney films and how to care for them!

Today is Earth Day and plant-enthusiast @PlantKween is joining @Disneyplus to celebrate with a creative collection of custom images featuring plants inspired by his favorite Disney+ films – The Coco, Jungle Book, The Aristocats, and Aladdin – while paying homage to the role that plants and nature play in bringing these beloved, imaginative tales to life. Some of these beloved plants include the Monstera, Staghorn Fern, Snake Plant and the Ficus Benghalensis

Here’s what Plant Kween had to say about Coco and the Monstera:

The classic Ms. Monstera D. would have to be paired with one of my more recent favs, Coco. The animators drew inspiration from all over Mexico, and Ms. Monstera is native to the tropical rainforest of southern Mexico. I’m sure if Miguel and Hector, had a moment to enjoy the any viridescent vibes on their way to that shady Ernesto de la Cruz, Ms. Monstera would have been serving lush lewks amongst the greenery

Care Tip: These green gurls are resilient and adaptable kweens. Bright, indirect sunlight is this kween’s scene and she thrives best in the 65 – 70ºF temp range. She’s a tropical kween, so she loves her some humidity! Invest in a humidifier, place it near this kween and she’ll be serving lush lewks. Water these kween’s weekly in warmer months and every 2/3 weeks in colder months, allowing the soil to dry out in between waterings.

To join Plant Kween in celebrating Earth Month with Disney+,  go plant yourself down to revisit these classic Disney films and see if you can spot any ‘green gurls.’ Continue the celebration of Earth Month on Disney+ with National Geographic.
