Bloody New Trailer for ‘The Killer’s Game’ Starring Dave Bautista

Lionsgate released a new trailer for its upcoming action comedy, The Killer’s Game, starring Dave Bautista. Following four smash hit John Wick films, it looks like the studio is leaning fully into the assassin genre, recognizing the potential value of grounded action films with a high body count. This time, Bautista takes center stage as a top assassin who puts at hit on himself, thinking he has terminal cancer.

Directed by J.J. Perry, who has an extensive stunt background and served as Supervising Stunt Coordinator on John Wick: Chapter 2, the film also stars Bautista’s Guardians of the Galaxy co-star Pom Klementieff, fellow Marvel alum Ben Kingsley, as well as Sofia Boutella, Terry Crews, and Scott Adkins.

The Killer’s Game Trailer

The trailer is full of bloody action, but the early stand out is Klementieff as a character who looks to be the head of the assassin organization. This role is a welcome departure from her quiet and reserved portrayal of Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it looks like she will have the chance to display some sword wielding fight choreography prowess.

There doesn’t look to be a confirmed release date yet, but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on more details from The Killer’s Game as they become available!

About The Killer’s Game:

In the new action-comedy THE KILLER’S GAME, when top hitman Joe Flood (Dave Bautista) is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to take matters into his own hands – by taking a hit out on himself. But when the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend (Sofia Boutella), he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and win back the love of his life before it’s too late.

Lionsgate presents, a Mad Chance & Endurance Media production, in association with Dogbone Entertainment, K. Jam Media and Lipsync.
