‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Season 2: Toph Joins Netflix’s Live-Action Series”

Netflix’s live-action reimagining of Avatar: The Last Airbender is back for season 2, which introduces one of the most beloved characters in the series, the Earth Bender, Toph. Played by Miyah Cech, Toph is a powerful Earth Bender who joins Team Avatar and becomes one of its core members. Returning for the second season are Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio) and Sokka (Ian Ousley), as well as Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu), Paul Sun-Hyung Kim (Uncle Iroh), Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim) and more.

The teaser trailer is full of action and stunning visuals that look like a step up from an already strong first season. It’s a natural progression that reflects the story, as our heroes gain experience and grow in power.

For many fans, “Book 2” is one of the most favored seasons of the animated series, and it’s definitely possible that the live-action version will be the same.

Netflix is certainly going to have to consider expediting production of future seasons so that the cast doesn’t age out. Given the studio’s experience with the Stranger Things cast, I’m sure they will be prepared.
